I have been doing Pure Barre for a full TWO MONTHS now, which is hard to believe. My goals I had set for myself were to go 3 times a week and to just tone up. This was the first time I had worked out since before my daughter, almost 5 years ago. (WOW, I know)
Besides the results of clothes fitting better, I know I am gaining strength. I can do movements that I couldn’t do when I first started. I can hold the movements lower and longer than before. You know you do Pure Barre when you go home saying Tuck, tuck with a freeze. At Pure Barre, the instructors say “Change comes when things get tough”…Isn’t that the truth? When your workout gets tough you know you’re shedding muscles to make a better you, right?
Plus, I feel better emotionally. For me, that is so important for me to take care of myself first before my kids and husband. You can not run on an empty cup. So cliche I know but seriously SELF CARE is SO important to me. I am so glad that Erin, at Pure Barre made me realize that.
Most days, I am either home with my kiddos or running around meeting with companies and never get the chance to unwind. Pure Barre is my time where the world stops for one hour. No Phones, no screaming kids.
I want to be totally honest with y’all…I kinda struggled this month.
Life Happens, I know but it was HARD to make it to weekly workouts. Sometimes it was once a week, there was a week where I couldn’t go, due to husband traveling, I had meetings with companies and school parties, etc.
And I felt it in my body and in my mood when I wasn’t able to go.
I am not one to obsess over the scale so I don’t have the exact weight, but I am still a work in progress.
Here is my first check in at 30 days, in case you missed it
