Share about your business.
Jackie- I assist individuals or families purchase or sell their homes, invest in properties, or in any other real estate goal they may have.

Stacey-I’m thrilled to be under the leadership of Monica in our group, and we’re with one of the best brokerages in the area, Keller Williams Realty NE.  I’ve helped investors, first time home buyers, sellers, and renters with their real estate goals.

Where are you originally from and how long have you lived in the area?
Jackie-I was born and raised in Houston, but I’ve lived in the Atascocita area 7 years now.

Stacey-Don’t tell anyone, but I am originally from up north!  Born in Pennsylvania, my family eventually made their way to Houston.  I graduated from Kingwood High School, then graduated from Texas A&M, and moved back to the Lake Houston area. It’s changed so much in the last 25 years!  I remember when the Lake Houston bridge was built.

Monica-I moved every 3 years growing up (thanks ExxonMobil)…and my family finally settled in Kingwood when I was in 7th grade.  I attended Riverwood MS, the old KW 9th-grade campus, and graduated from Kingwood HS.  I consider Kingwood my “home”.   My husband is from Humble and a graduate of Humble HS. We are currently raising our kiddos in Atascocita (Eagle Springs).

How many kids and how old are they?
Jackie-I have a son Abram who’s 13, and a daughter Aubrey who’s 10.

Stacey-Two: Joe is 13 and Allie is 11.

What brought you to do your business?
Jackie-I was in Oil & Gas for 17 yrs, then decided to be a stay at home mom. (Toughest and most rewarding job wrapped all in one)  Then I decided I wanted to pursue a career that was rewarding, dealt with people more one on one, like a relationship, but still allowed me flexibility to stay engaged in all activities that involved my children.

Stacey-Funny enough, I had joked with Monica for years about doing real estate with her.  At my birthday lunch this past year, I said it again, and a serious conversation ensued.  My husband has always supported me going into real estate; I never looked back once I finally said yes.

When did the idea of creating your business start? How long have you been in business?
Stacey- I’ve been in real estate since March!  Seems like not so long, but I’ve been blessed to be busy this entire time.
Monica- I’ve wanted to be a Real Estate Agent since the day I graduated HS many moons ago.  I think all the moving I did in my life really piqued my interest, not just in homes but in how I can help others through the process.  I’ve now been in the business for a little over 5 years, and it really is everything I thought it would be.  I love every aspect of Real Estate.  I love the homes, I love my clients, I love the negotiation and contract writing process, I love problem-solving, and I love being able to help my clients with one of the biggest and most expensive decisions they will make.  I also love that real estate allows me to be able to give back to my community.  Most recently I’ve started my own team, Texas Charm Real Estate Group, and I have the honor of mentoring agents on not only the real estate transaction process but on how to help their clients.  My favorite part about having a team is watching my team members succeed!

What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
Stacey-Setting my own goals and working with my group to achieve them
Monica-What I love most about being an entrepreneur is the freedom to structure my business in a way that allows me to still be involved with my kids’ activities and my community volunteer efforts.  I also love that my husband can be involved and partner with me in decision making…it makes it “our” business and something we can be proud to leave as a legacy.

What is your favorite part about what you do?
Jackie-My absolute favorite part of my job is working with new people, helping them, learning from them, and getting a chance to be a part of their lives when they are making what can be a major change for their future.

Stacey-Oh my gosh, hands down, helping people.  Whether it’s getting first-time homebuyers into a home, investors achieving their goals, renters finding that perfect area to live, or sellers getting their property under contract, making those winning phone calls and hearing how happy my clients are make every bit of this job worth it!

What does the future look like for you and your business?
Stacey-
More people helped, more people housed, more people achieving their financial goals, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.
Monica-Texas Charm Real Estate Group is just getting started!  We will be branching out more and more to other parts of Houston.  If you know anyone looking to buy or sell, give us a call. We’re ready for you!!  It is also really important to me that we get more involved with our community.  We want to be informed citizens and we want to help where and when we can.   To whom much is given, much will be required (Luke 12:48)   holds really true to me…and we don’t want to just talk about it, we want to be boots on the and ground helping others.

What inspired you to go into Real Estate?
Monica-
Actually, one of my earliest memories is sitting in the back of Mark Heinrich’s car while he showed my parent’s homes in Kingwood.  I remember just being in awe of what he did and soaking in any knowledge he was giving from house to house.  Life has come full circle, and I am now an agent in the Keller Williams office that he continues to be part owner of.

What advice would you give to others that want to start something new?
Jackie-Do it right now.  Make small goals and big goals, put them down.  Execute them a day at a time, it will never happen if you don’t take even the smallest step.

Stacey-I can probably write a book here!  At 45, I shifted gears from a fulfilling job as an Activities Coordinator for a master-planned community to real estate! I wanted to help more people, challenge myself to do something new, and expand my circle outside of my immediate community; my family, kids, and especially my husband have all supported me tremendously.  My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.  Jump in with both feet, have a great support system, and don’t be scared to ask for help.
