Saturday Business Feature: Happy Hygiene & Co. | Kingwood Moms

Tell us your name of you and your business.
Hi, My name is Tawan Stanton and I am the owner of Happy Hygiene and CO.

Share about your business.
Happy Hygiene is a mom-made brand that focuses on hand hygiene care for kids.  With our first product being, Noey Foaming Hand Soap.

Where are you originally from and how long have you lived in the area?
I am from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and moved here almost four years ago.

How many kids and how old are they?
I have two kids Daya who is 5 and Noah who is 4. I also have a handsome teenage step-son, Donovan

What brought you to do your business?
After moving here, and kids starting daycare, they would constantly get sick with a runny nose and constant colds. Everyone would just say that is normal for daycare kids.  But as a nurse, I know the first line of defense against germs is handwashing. So I wanted to create a handsoap that little kids would love and want to make handwashing a routine, even when they are away from mom at daycare. So I created a brand, Happy Hygiene with  A natural, plant-based hand soap that is made with lots of organic goodness as our first product.

When did the idea of creating your business start? How long have you been in business?
The idea came about almost two years ago and we recently launched. We started out last year doing pop up shops, just to get the brand out in front of local customers and launched Online this month in March.

What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
What I love most about being an entrepreneur is being able to work with my family.

We package and ship together, brand photoshoots, and even social media marketing. It’s great. I also love seeing an idea come to life.

What is your favorite part about what you do?
My favorite part about creating this hand hygiene brand is hearing the feedback from the little kids. It literally makes my heart smile.

What does the future look like for you and your business?
I am so excited about the future of Happy Hygiene. I look forward to getting our products into local and major retail stores. Also local pediatrics doctors office.

What advice would you give to others that want to start something new?
My advice is to do it!  I know it may seem scary or a little intimidating, but great things are not easy to come by, you have to put in the work. Don’t be afraid to fail. Believe in yourself and trust God will lead the way.
