Dapper Darlings Boutique hosts Cindi, America’s Top Silhouette Artist
Cindi did silhouettes at Astroworld, Disneyland, and Disneyworld and is considered the best in her field, by Google and Papercutters.com She has been on Dr. Phil, Bravo, BBC TV, The Bachelor, Vanity Fair, and many other publications and television shows. Cindi has silhouetted for over 35 years and can cut out the interior details few silhouette artists have mastered. Silhouettes are just $35, each person, with duplicate copies at $10 a person. This is a great gift for grandparents! Children do not have to sit still or be dressed for it. Cindi, a master, can move to the child, make the hair look fixed in her art, add a bow to the artwork. She does the lost art, she looks at you and cuts it out freehand. She also designed oval picture frames and has hand-cut larger mats. The silhouettes are mounted on 5 by 7 acid-free card stock. Mats are 8 by 10 rectangular with 5 by 7 oval centers and are just $5. Her picture frames are all ovals and vary in price from $16, $18, to $38 for original frames from Italy and Canada that Cindi personally designed, and no one else sells.

Munchkin Market @ Creativity Shell

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, the Creativity Shell will host our 3rd annual Munchkin Market at the Creativity Shell (Kingwood Shopping Center) at 1570 Kingwood Drive.
The Creativity Shell is a nonprofit organization on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire the next generation of makers. Our organization teaches sewing/textile arts and other trades classes to students in our private studios, libraries, schools and shelters that rescue children from homelessness, trauma and human trafficking. Our classes are designed to educate and inspire children by teaching them essential life and practical skills.
This public event will consist of K-12 students from all over Houston converging to sell their own handmade goods. The students will have a unique chance to gain business, social, and entrepreneurial skills as they interact with customers. The Munchkin Market is also a wonderful opportunity for the local kids of Houston to shine as the next generation of makers!
** Students get to KEEP the money they make or they can donate it to a cause of their choice.
