Saturday Business Feature: Melissa Jaramillo- Aloe Hair Studio

I’m the owner of Aloe Hair Studio inside of Blue Lion Salon Studios. I am a lived-in color, blonde, and balayage expert. I’m also Habit Hand Tied extension certified. Every color and extension set is custom and I’m truly passionate about creating quality and longevity to every color. I believe in doing services that allow a little more time in between appointments to give moms and busy women more time but keeping the hair extremely healthy. I have a passion for transformations and showing how beautiful women really are.

I’ve always known I wanted to be an entrepreneur and while I was in school I knew I wanted to create a beauty business that really focused on the client’s point of view. I know sometimes there’s a language barrier between stylists and clients so creating systems that lead to quality work and custom craftsmanship became my priority.

I have been doing hair for five years and started out as an apprentice. My dream is to pour my knowledge and support into new stylists needing training and education.

I work full time behind the chair and love what I do! I find so much fulfillment out of empowering clients and stylists. I love for women to feel beautiful, feel encouraged, and just relax at every appointment.

I recently have started an assistant program and have recently expanded. My big goal is to fine-tune my systems and open a salon that has a focus on education and transformations.

My husband is my biggest supporter, we’ve been married for 10 years and have 3 girls, 10, 9, and 2. When I’m not working I love to spend as much time with them as possible!

I definitely struggle to juggle it all! But what keeps me sane is batch working anything I can and just being present in the moment with where I am. I make “me” time a priority because it’s my mindset reset. Make sure you take care of yourself! Give yourself grace and carve out that you time!
