The beautiful hill country, Boerne, Texas! I technically live in Summerwood, and have been here for 7 years!

My secret goal (until now) is to spray tan Rachel Hollis.
What is your go-to activity for yourself for pampering or for fun?
I love to go out to eat by myself. I’ll either listen to a podcast, people watch, or read while eating. And I get to eat while my food is still hot! lol
Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?
Whenever I’m super tired but have the itch to get out of the house I will load the kids up and go walk around AtHome off 1960! It keeps us all occupied for hours, just in time to go home for baths and bed!

I opened BlushTan Houston on September 2, 2019! We are an organic-based, vegan, natural-looking spray tanning company that doesn’t believe in a one size fits all tanning solution. Our solutions are safe, customizable and are proven to increase confidence! I fell in love with it, and I know our community will, too! I also work full time for a valve repair service company, and have been there for 7 years!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
My business depends on the community to thrive. The friends and neighbors my family and I have met have encouraged me relentlessly to go after this new venture with BlushTan Houston. There is always a hindering hint of being scared to fail, so their encouragement enables me to pick my head up and keep going.
What is the best advice for juggling mommyhood and running a business (or volunteering, working, etc)?
Be present wherever you are! If you are at work, be at work. If you are with your family, put the phone down and BE there with your family, fully engaged. We are always going to tend to feel guilty about what we aren’t doing. However, you will notice if you are present wherever you are, the guilt lessens. I have to work on this daily, but it’s working for me. I learned this from Rachel Hollis!
What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?
Believe in yourself more and trust your intuition! It wasn’t until after kids that I really started to believe in my own power and that I can accomplish anything. Mostly because I want THEM to have those beliefs. I was always too scared of what other people would think, and I never went after the things I wanted to accomplish most. Never again!
What is your proudest mommy moment?
Not one particular moment persay. It’s anytime my kids say “Yes sir”, “Yes ma’am”, “thank you”, “let me help you”, “you can do it”, or “just keep trying”. My husband and I are trying to engrain those beliefs into our tiny humans, so when I hear those phrases, I know were on the right track.
Greatest gift about being a mom?
Being unconditionally loved by my babies.
Best mom hack that makes mommin’ easier?
Drucker labs intrakid vitamins! Liquid form vitamins and probiotic in one, food-based. Keeps my kiddos healthy and keeps me sane!
What’s your favorite part about what you do?
Giving someone a body transformation in 15 minutes! Their faces immediately light up. I get to meet all kinds of amazing people. I hope to make clients into friends and create a body-positive, supportive community. Right now it’s a dream I’m working to build into a reality with everyone that comes through my doors.
What is your favorite thing to do in the HKA area?
We love to go eat with family and friends at the restaurants on the lake in Kingwood! Good food, scenery and Good Company always makes for a good time!
