All of childhood is a time of exploration, learning, assimilation, and mastering of skills. Brain development from birth to age 3 is an amazing period. Not only is it a time of intake of massive amounts of information but the brain itself actually increases to almost 80% of its future adult size.
At One Acre Farm, we believe young children thrive being outside with nature, running, playing, exploring, experimenting, and getting dirty. We provide a ‘yes’ environment for the toddlers to navigate through with their parent(s). There is no wrong way to play or experiment with the activities. In fact, we try to encourage toddlers to have the freedom to be creative and use items in unexpected ways.

They will get to check blood pressure, take temperatures, bandage wounds and splint broken “bones”. It’s a great way to introduce your child to what it means to visit the ER and to alleviate common fears. Board Certified ER Dr. Kim Waaso will be on hand to answer questions for parents. It is fun and just adorable! We’ll have Prescriptions to give each participant a sweet treat. Join Us!

The Culinary Boricua will be here roasting two large pigs. The event itself doesn’t cost anything to get in, but because we are limited on how much pig meat we will have, you will need to purchase tickets on Eventbrite if you are wanting to try this delicious roast pig. Each ticket includes a half-pound of roasted pig meat and you can purchase up to 6 tickets. A roasted pig will be ready to serve starting around 3 pm.
Additional food items and sides will be available for onsite purchase the day of the event.
