I am originally from Houston and I have lived in Kingwood for the last 9 years.

I have one son, James, he will be 18 months on the 24th of this month!
One thing people would be surprised to know about you… I love true crime!
What is your go-to activity for yourself for pampering or for fun?
When I get a moment to myself, first things first, Target run! I also enjoy getting my nails done or meeting one of my girlfriends for dinner.
Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?
Planning ahead, even if it seems like the smallest detail. In the morning before I leave for work, I set everything out for the evening. This includes bath towels, PJs, sometimes I get dinner going. Plan plan plan!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the
corporate world? Please share!
I work for a local ABA clinic in Kingwood. ABA stands for Applied Behavioral Analysis. We offer intensive therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Our community is very family oriented and is full of opportunities that allow us to engage with one another.
What is the best advice for juggling mommyhood and running a business (or volunteering,
working, etc)? Prioritize your schedule, learn to accept help when people offer it and always put your family first.
What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?
I would tell myself to slow down and experience life more. I threw myself into work for four years and looking back I wish I had taken a little more time to myself.
What is your proudest mommy moment?
Watching my son flourish at school! He moved to the toddler class in March and he is learning so much. He also just graduated Baby Fins 1 and moved up to Baby Fins 2 in swim and I am so proud of him!
Greatest gift about being a mom?
The unconditional love and never-ending memories. Also, it’s hands down the best job in the world and so much fun!
Best mom hack that makes mommin’ easier?
Meal prepping dinner!!! And planning. Most of the time life doesn’t go to plan, but I find things tend to go smoother if there is a plan in place to fall back on.
What’s your favorite part about what you do? Getting to work with the kiddos.
Although I handle the insurance & billing side of things, I still get a lot of interaction with the babies. I also love my co-workers. SpecKids is basically a huge family.
What is your favorite thing to do in the HKA area? My family loves the Kingwood Greenbelt! We have an entrance right by our house and we honestly take so much advantage! We also love King’s Harbor; we can’t wait for Sharky’s to open!
