Art Camp @ Kingwood Branch Library

Presented by the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, this is an amazing opportunity for any budding artists. This is a week-long camp that meets every day from 10:00-12:00, with a special field trip to the museum on Friday. Registration opens on May 28th at 10:00 AM. Applications can be picked up at the children’s reference desk. This program is designed for ages 6-12, and we ask that all participants commit for the full five days.

Mini Moo Playgroup: Marionette Puppet Show @ Chickfila Wilson/ Beltway 8

Join us for Mini Moo Playgroup on Friday, June 14th from 10-11:30 AM for a Marionette Puppet Show featuring the story of Aladdin and a themed craft! The puppet show will start at 10:45 AM. We will have a craft/activity before the show from 10-10:45 AM. The puppet show is approximately 45 minutes long. Turtle Survival Alliance will be here collecting donations and giving out information on the great lengths they go through to keep our turtles from becoming extinct. They will also have a variety of turtles with them including a 50lb turtle called Tank that loves to eat okra. Kids and big kids are welcome to hand feed Tank.

Music Performance by Norphlet. Vocalists/guitarist Cody Brown and drummer Taylor Devorski created Norphlet in 2017 because of their love of music despite the fact that one band member lives in California and the other in Texas. As a result they have created a uniquely atmospheric blend of 90s indie, adventurous post-rock, hooky pop-punk with emphasis on writing songs that stick. Show starts at 6pm.
