Non-Toy Gift Guide for The Holidays | Kingwood Moms

We have so many toys in our house, this year my husband and I decided to do something different. NO MORE TOYS, for Christmas or Birthdays.
I used to be a teacher, so I am all about “open-ended” toys. Sounds fancy but it just means where the child can learn, foster pretend play and encourage using their imagination. Another idea, I came up with was “experience gifts”. Again, sounds fancy but have family members take the kids, or each individual child for a special day, go to the Zoo, Children’s Museum- Downtown or in The Woodlands is a good one too.
Just take the kids and make those memories that will last a lifetime!
Last year, we went to the Zoo with my brother and his wife, and It was the best day ever for my daughter. She still talks about it to this day.
Books and name puzzles are always a good one. We love this little place we found in at the market in Canton and Wimberly a few years ago.
