I moved here when I was 12 years old.

I am an animal nut. I have rescued a baby squirrel, who now lives in our backyard. And a racoon.
Funniest shortcut/routine for helping you through parenthood?
A glass of wine helps every now and then!
But seriously, singing songs to get my kids to clean up.

Yes, I am a Travel Agent with Key to the World Travel.I became interested in it when my family was taking our trip there and our travel agent at the time wasn’t as helpful as I would have liked.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I have been here in this area most of my life. This Kingwood community is amazing. This community is such a close-knit community. Which I really saw during Hurricane Harvey.
If a neighbor or someone was in need they were so quick to react in whatever they needed. And some communities don’t have that. It was really special to see that and reevaluate what is important in life.
What is the best advice for juggling mommyhood and running a business (or volunteering,working, etc)?
Do not stress! And Find a schedule that works for you and your kids.
What would you tell the old “You” before you had kids?
Don’t Judge other moms.
What is your proudest mommy moment?
My kids are pretty awesome, this is hard.
When my daughter who has a learning disability was first able to read a sentence on a billboard, driving down the road. It made me cry. I was so excited that she was able to string together letters and phonemes.
What is your favorite thing to do in the HKA area?
When Kings Harbor was open before Harvey, we loved going to listen to the live music, eat at the restaurants on the water or walk around the lake. But now a lot of bike rides on the greenbelts.
